Turkey Meatballs
to throw in the freezer
This recipe is originally from Baked Bree - they are great! I just cut down the carbs by subbing my breadcrumb mixture & tripled it as well.
Freezer Friendly Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
7 lb ground turkey
breadcrumb mix
6 egg whites
1 heaping cup pesto
1.3 c shredded parmesan
Breadcrumbs:
1 cup almond flour
1/2 c flax seed meal
1 t psyllium husk
2 T Italian seasoning
1 T salt
black pepper
garlic powder
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375.
Make the bread crumb mixture and set aside. In a large bowl combine the turkey, pesto, parm, and egg whites.
Once mixed, fold in the breadcrumb mixture
Roll into 1/4 c size balls and bake for 30-35 minutes. Mine were perfect at 35 minutes. This ended up giving me 64 meatballs :)
